The Baillou Hills roadway and sports centre redevelopment is one of Nassau city’s largest ever construction and redevelopment projects. Manhole Covers Limited have been pleased to supply a variety of products to both projects, but most notably were asked for a solution to the excessive flooding to major roadways the Bahamas suffers in its hurricane season which runs from June to the end of November. To cope with such high run-offs of surface water the MHC-6166 Kerb Weir and MHC-6618 Chute Connectors were chosen, totalling an impressive 1,000 units for this three kilometre stretch of road alone. The project was completed prior to Hurricane Sandy which swept the Bahamas in 2012.
